Lakeside Patio & Low-Maintenance Landscaping in Newaygo, MI

This Newaygo lakefront property started as a blank canvas—ready for a thoughtful transformation. Once the client’s new seawall was in place, we got to work building out a landscape designed for both beauty and functionality.

At the heart of the design is a custom brick patio and fire pit, featuring inlaid lighting within the pavers to create a warm, inviting glow at night. The fire pit serves as a central gathering spot, ideal for cool lake evenings with friends and family.

To keep upkeep minimal while the homeowners enjoy their time at the lake, we installed a low-maintenance landscape using hardy groundcovers and ornamental grasses. This softens the space while requiring little effort to maintain.

Additionally, we constructed a retaining wall that not only supports their new septic system but also provides convenient access to the front door—blending practicality into the overall aesthetic.
